MATTER SPACE SOUL IS A NEW TYPE OF SPATIAL DESIGN LAB SHAPING PLACES FOR HUMAN NATURE, NEEDS & WELLBEING

Making Places that Matter. Spaces with Soul.

Our mission is to catalyse a step-change toward more humane, healthy, socially-conscious, inclusive and equitable places.

By enhancing the human experience of the built environment, we help forward-thinking organisations, developers, architects, design teams, brands and communities make places that support people to flourish and thrive.

Founder Natasha Reid is a recognised thought-leader in this emerging field, speaking at conferences since 2014 on new solutions to pressing urban issues. Her work lies at the intersection of design, health, the human sciences and arts-led approaches.

She was named a “Groundbreaker” by Wallpaper magazine in 2021.

"While it is common for architecture professionals to place their user at the heart of their processes, taking an approach on the matter as proactive as that of Reid’s is far rarer. Her team follows a research-led path, working with psychologists and other science specialists in an effort to shape the invisible and create ‘joyful, soulful’ places."
